I thought of Lux back when I was 13, the concept of it was based on the
trope of drunk people wearing lampshades.
I decided to make an OC originally just to have a layer of seperation between what I put out there into the world
and my personal life, similar to Daft Punk's decision to wear helmets. A good logo should be easy enough to visualize in a few basic shapes but unique enough to stand out, so I decided to pursue the lampshade idea,
as Lux stood out from other "tv-heads" but can easily be drawn with two curves and two diagonal lines.
In my freshmen year, I was finally able to finalize Lux into how I wanted it to look like. I based it off of Guy Manuel's
helmet design. I gave it a suit too to match the suits that Guy-Manuel and Thomas wore to award ceremonies.
All thanks to
@myyrth_
for initially bringing Lux to life.
The next iteration of Lux was of line drawings (might pursue that again soon) that I used for the front cover
of a book I'd written and self-published (there's only one physical copy, and it was a gift).
The current iteration of Lux is pixel art of it that I made specifically for the website assets as well as social media.
Lux never really had a defined color pallette, so I've also made designs of Lux that are inverted from the previous black and blue scheme.
